You’ve done great being our strategist, breaking the code of table tennis and helping us put the best players in the best place to allow them to unleash their potential. Hahaha. Yeah, that’s an important job and don’t stop doing it ok? Eat more though. Haha… And next year might be a taxing year because there might be a sports day. So you’ve got to juggle, O’s, sports leader role and table tennis. Sounds tough ey? So you’ve got to toughen up and not give up! Jiayou! You can do it!

Jingwen: “From enemies/loggerheads to good friends”. You’ll be darn remembered by how we quarreled and then patch up in no time. How we plan whether to eat first or to play soccer first and how I will persuade you to being your soccer ball to school because I’m too lazy to bring mine d: Jiayou for table tennis! Continue smacking people and earn your place in Nationals no matter what ok! We’ll meet up soon I’m sure. Will surely jio you to play soccer or go biking. xD Don’t have much to say la, see you everyday. Stay happy and not so pissed all the time ok? (:

Joven: Hey triple science person! Yeah, you’ve brought laughter to the whole team la at times. But don’t be too smart all the time. Let other people have the chance to learn through their own mistakes. Sometimes, people need to learn things themselves and try out to experience things and not having to let people do things for them all the time. Like during charades. Let them have a chance to act. Don’t hog the top place all the time. Let them struggle for the right moves. It’s simply part of life. Let people have the chance and opportunity to shine too ok? Jiayou for trainings (:

Lydia: Hey! You have a very positive attitude towards doing well and you always put your best into doing thing. But one thing that you must be clear about. A good plater doesn’t place him/herself above the others. He/She works humbly with the rest, gaining not only respect on the match, but also in her/his personal life. Do join the trainings in school and bond with the rest of the team. It might sound a little cheesy or weird or stupid to you, but the team is really really willing to bond and befriend you. They are just feeling rather left out in your life. Remember that SNTT is one big family, and as Lilo ( in Lilo and Stitch) said, “Family means, no one gets left behind”. So yeah. We welcome you anytime (:

Sinhong: Hey Captain! The team is COUNTING ON YOU ALRIGHT! Hahaha.. What I liked about SNTT08 and the future is, we don’t make things difficult for everyone and we keep a very neutral and lively environment that let everyone thinks it’s more of a home than a stupid training. So keep it up ok? Hope that the team in future will be as bonded now. Bring the team to greater heights! The team is really depending on you to lead and encourage them. Jiayou in trainings too! Stargazing in Singapore is an advantage? Wait till you go to Catholic Mission Home of Wiang Kaen, Thailand.

Then you’ll realise that, saying that stargazing in Singapore is possible, is actually an insult to the art of stargazing.

You won’t need all the fanciful equipments to stargaze. If not, you’re studying the stars dammit.

What we do, those who really appreciate art ( well, i treat star gazing as a beautiful thing and i refuse to keep thinking it’s science ), we lie down on the basketball court in Thailand, and we really gaze, letting those STARS touch our hearts.

That’s stargazing to me.

That’s the amount of stars we can see in Thailand. Staring at it make them seem that they are moving.

Stop trying to get cheap thrills and think you’re oh so great.

Even professional stargazing takes place out of Singapore.

If you’re going to get stuck here and think stargazing in Singapore is an advantage, I’d rather you give it up.

You’re just like a dead man’s brain.

And stop acting that I’m wrong and you’re oh-so-great on your blog.

It’s not up to you to judge.

I bet this is very commonly heard.

People judge everyone so commonly, that they forgot that, it’s not anyone’s job to judge one another unless you’re the judge of a competition.

How can you bring yourself to downgrade someone when you’re not a professional or done anything similar? I seriously don’t understand.

YOu can’t simply say anything you want to damn a person and bring down his/her confidence level. When someone is fighting for a dream that seemed impossible, you don’t say, you can’t do it. I would say, CONSIDER dropping the idea. Or if the person is so insistent, I can’t bring myself to say it. I’ll probably be giving him/her my best encouragement and be w him/her till the end. I won’t be telling her, “Ey, impossible la, SURE CANNOT ONE.”

It’s not someone’s job to judge a person’s dream or goal.

I believe for a person to give up a dream is to fall by her own again and again, then considering the thing is not going to work out on her own. If there were judge for dreams, half the world won’t be getting what they want, because these inconsiderate people will be downgrading them and robbing them of their confidence.

It’s not an opinion/comment to judge.

I hope someone(people) can understand this point.

There’s just too little things happening in my life recently, I quite lost the interest in blogging.

I spent my past 8 years in sports, in a sport I wasn’t really very passionate about. Not the kind I would die for, fail school for, or give up anything for.

Now, I’m considering to take a really drastic change.

To stay in sports, or plunge into the arts scene.

I don’t know whether I have what it takes to survive.

Now, I’m thinking maybe I should stay in sports.

I don’t know.

I hate people who talk halfway.

At constant temperature, the rate of carbon assimilation varies with irradiance, initially increasing as the irradiance increases. However at higher irradiance this relationship no longer holds and the rate of carbon assimilation reaches a plateau.

Irradiance = Light intensity

If you were to see the graph before the point where their oxygen produced is the same, Plant Y’s oxygen production rate is higher than plant X. Then you mean Plant Y is in the shade and it can photosynthesize faster than plant X? It doesn’t make any sense.

From textbook, “Beyond point A, light is no longer the limiting factor since the rate of photosynthesis remains constant even though the light intensity increases. Some other factors, possible the temperature or the carbon cioxide concentration, becomes the limiting factor … “

Therefore, in the beginning, light is NOT the main limiting factor since both plants have light. It’s not as if one is in the DARK and one in the LIGHT.

What i reasoned is that. Because Plant X is in the shade, the amount of light it receives is lesser, thus the rate of photosynthesis is slower. it’s also gradual because the carbon dioxide around it is not used up rapidly. Plant Y is in the sun because carbon dioxide around it is used up rapidly due to the abundance of the sun which can support the rate of photosynthesis. But because it’s used up at a rapid speed, it stays at a constant rate as carbon dioxide has to diffuse to the plant ( possible at a constant speed ) for it to photosynthesize.

Wait, I see the finishing point!

To me, it isn’t about just enduring the race or enjoying it. It’s the feeling of relief and accomplishment when I see the finishing line. I can see myself smiling, “Yeeyin, go on. Finish it! Dash for it! It’s only a few seconds more of lactic acid tolerance!!”. I keep telling myself this over and over in my head as I try to overtake the front few people. That’s how I managed to finish my 2.4km run. Worst thing ever. (By the way, I was awarded 4th time PFT gold. :D )

3 more papers, and I’ll be done with the dreaded O’s. I’m not going to live in self-denial and say that I should be facing O’s with lots of zest and enthusiasm.

O’s is a very scary thing. It robs you of your sanity and you start scolding people who made the slightest noise, robs you of your friends, time, computer and of course, MY INTERNET. Garh. I hope you guys see my effort in cutting down msn-ing. And i just realised, actually, calling people to talk aint such a scary thing.

3 more papers to go. I look back. Wow, it’s the time I was working for (not waiting ar please -_-). After enduring it for so long, I can finally see the end point (although it’s two weeks away, but I choose to count it as the amount of paper left).

I can do it. Just a while more of secondary work, and I have to leave it already. I’ll defintely miss the stressful life, but I know JC ( if i can get in ) will do me a good deed and let me “enjoy” life again (:

Love getting beautified, being “a gangster who loves to shop”, dance and of course, soccer (and other chorlorh-rough/guyish sports). They should never have given personality a name/definition. Like, oh she’s the girly girl kind.. or the tomboy.
